Avalon is currently recruiting for multiple Customer Services Officers for a Not-For-Profit organisation in Nottinghamshire.
The Opportunity:
As the first point of contact for individuals reaching the mental health support line, you will play a vital role in offering empathy, guidance, and practical support. You’ll be a calm and reassuring presence for those in vulnerable situations, actively listening, offering reasoned advice, and signposting callers to appropriate services. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
The successful candidate will:
* Pride themselves of delivering excellent customer service to those vulnerable
* Deal with contact from service users experiencing moments of crisis
* Provide emotional support and signposting services
* Identify opportunities to improve the safeguarding of users who access the services
* Have experience with inbound call handling
* Be efficient within IT to continuously update records
* Have flexibility with a working schedule on a rota basis to cover days, evenings and nights
* Be empathic to supporting those vulnerable and ensuring that you are a sounding board to their situation
Further information:
* Full Time at 35 hours per week (Days, Evening, Nights)
* £17 - £27 per hour
* 3 months initial contract
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS check (dated within the last 3 years)
* Previous experience within a call centre
