Site Services Officer
37 hours per week. Early and Late shift – alternate weeks. 8am – 4pm on school holidays. Hours can be arranged with Management to meet the needs of the Trust.
Salary Band F (7‑10): £26,403 to £28,142 per annum.
The School
The Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has a vacancy for a full‑time Site Services Officer at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form. The school moved to a newly built bespoke building on Glasshouse Lane in 2023. The post holder will be based in the Facilities team and report to the Premises and Maintenance Manager, working with a friendly team of Site Services Officers across the Trust.
The Role
The Facilities team operates a weekly 37‑hour shift pattern with alternating early and late shifts:
* Early Shift: Monday and Friday 7:15am–4pm (one‑hour unpaid lunch break, two 15‑minute breaks); Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7am–4pm (one‑hour unpaid lunch break, two 15‑minute breaks).
* Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 9am–6pm (one‑hour unpaid lunch break, two 15‑minute breaks); Friday 9am–5:30pm (one‑hour unpaid lunch break, two 15‑minute breaks).
* School holidays: Monday–Friday 8am–4pm.
Typical Daily Duties
* Locking and unlocking the school.
* Ensuring the site is tidy and presentable for users.
* Carrying out minor repairs and building maintenance.
* Conducting routine fire alarm, call point, emergency light and water run‑off checks.
* Meeting contractors on site and coordinating their work.
* Minibus driving as required.
* General porter duties, including setting up exam tables, assemblies and other school events.
* Acting as a named key holder to respond to alarms outside school hours.
Requirements
* Successful applicant must undertake a minibus driving MIDAS test.
* Enthusiastic, with an understanding of health and safety.
* Clean driving licence.
* Willing to work as part of a team and use personal initiative.
* Willing to undertake First Aid at Work training.
* May be asked to undertake additional duties of closing and securing the site for school lettings, including some weekends, with additional pay.
* Full training will be provided.
