Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Worcester Hours: 36.75 hours, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 12.45pm Salary: £40,000 per annum Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer * Product Design & Development * Contribute to the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and assemblies. * Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. * Produce and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, operation manuals, and build/test procedures. * Manage components and bills of materials within internal systems. * Product Maintenance * Refine existing product designs to improve performance, durability, and manufacturability. * Develop solutions for component and system faults throughout the product lifecycle. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation. * Application Engineering * Design mechanical solutions tailored to customer needs, ensuring designs meet functional and performance requirements. * Sales, Manufacturing, Commissioning & Customer Support * Work with the sales team to provide timely responses to customer queries. * Support technical aspects of proposals, production builds, installations, and commissioning. * Provide guidance during installations to ensure customer satisfaction. * Professional Develo...
