A remarkable and unique opportunity has arisen at East Surrey College as we seek to appoint a Lecturer with expertise in Animal Management to teach on levels 1-3 in Animal Welfare & Management. In addition to teaching on the program starting in September, you will have an exclusive chance to establish the suite, develop your own instructional materials and tools from April to July (if applicable), preparing for the arrival of students in September. In essence, you have until the end of the academic year to contribute to the development of the exciting new Animal Management course.
Responsibilities
1. Share knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level.
2. Drive continuous improvement within the College.
3. Act as a personal tutor providing pastoral care.
4. Promote attendance and support students in attaining work placements.
5. Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning, development, and review activities within your subject area.
Details
This is a part-time role working 3 days a week, with working hours from 08:45 to 17:00.
Requirements
* A teaching qualification at level 3 or above.
* A relevant degree or equivalent in animal science, zoology, veterinary science, or a related field (desirable).
* Experience in the animal management industry or similar educational setting.
* Previous FE teaching experience.
* Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent.
