Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Coronary Intervention. The post is based at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. One post is available to start in late November 2025.
Applicants should have undergone at least 3 years of specialist training in general cardiology and have some experience in intervention.
This post is ideal for someone wishing to enhance their sub-specialty knowledge and experience. It will include exposure to catheter labs, outpatient clinics, and inpatient wards.
The successful candidate will receive advanced training in interventional cardiology with a focus on acute cardiology in the context of coronary artery disease.
Experience working in a UK cardiology department is important due to the busy and challenging nature of the work at our tertiary cardiac centre.
The main focus is to improve and be trained in coronary intervention techniques by working in the cath labs under supervision.
The postholder is expected to contribute fully to the PCI and interventional cardiology service at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Additionally, the postholder will support specific outpatient clinics aligned with their training needs and support the service’s secondary and tertiary work.
There is a commitment to the Cardiology middle-grade 1:13 on-call rota, supporting acute inpatient work and serving as a key contact for the wider Greater Manchester area.
