Clinical Leader (Day Theatres - Endoscopy)
Location & Contract
Oxford Hospital – Permanent, Part time (30 hours per week)
Salary
Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct and organise the Clinical Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring smooth running of theatre lists, organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate service demands of each department, including Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, and Gynae.
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement, and ensuring policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Have extensive knowledge for dealing with audits and equipment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
Requirements
You are registered with the appropriate governing body and have relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Strong clinical leadership, good communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
