We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Team Leader to oversee our Housing Support Grant (HSG) service. This is an exciting opportunity to support people at moments of real vulnerability, helping them access the care, housing support and services they need to live safely and independently.
You will be at the heart of our service delivery—coordinating referrals, supporting a dedicated team of support workers, and ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care for every service user.

A day in the life of a Housing Support Grant Service Team Leader will include
1. Leading day‑to‑day service delivery by acting as the main referral contact, assessing service users’ needs, developing support plans, and undertaking visits when required.
2. Ensuring high‑quality, consistent performance by maintaining accurate records, monitoring outcomes, and driving ongoing service improvement across the area.
3. Managing and support staff and volunteers through effective supervision, coordination, recruitment, training and clear communication to ensure smooth service operations.
4. Contributing as an active team member by promoting safe working practices, safeguarding, upholding data protection and organisational policies, and travelling for training and meetings as needed.
To be a successful Housing Support Grant Service Team Leader you’ll need to
5. Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and lead a team effectively.
6. Experience or knowledge of people management, along with an understanding of NHS and social care services.
7. Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent experience) with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
8. Experience in the voluntary sector, knowledge of local communities, and a creative, innovative approach to supporting and developing others.
