Electrician
Undertake planned, reactive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks across the ExxonMobil Fawley refinery site.
What You’ll Do
- Undertake maintenance, refurbishment & installation works of all aspects of electrical services, including emergency lighting, electrical LV switchgear, distribution boards, mains and sub‑mains cabling, containment, lighting, and other electrical equipment.
- Have a good knowledge of 3‑phase motor control and instrumentation systems.
- Have knowledge of inspection and testing procedures and certify works upon completion in accordance with relevant certification.
- Take on reactive and planned service works issued through the helpdesk within set timeframes ensuring client expectations are met.
- Provide detailed reports upon completion of works including breakdown processes, hours and materials of works to allow for accurate valuation of works.
- Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set timeframes so that customer expectations are met.
- Have knowledge of multi‑disciplined trades in electrical distribution systems (LV), mechanical ventilation, HVAC, chillers, plumbing/CWST systems and LTHW heating services (desired).
- Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship so that relevant standards are met.
- Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
- Ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
- Provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
- Take a proactive approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
- Be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs.
- Ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records are maintained accurately.
- Always work in a safe manner, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Company H&S policy.
- Follow on call rota – Monday to Sunday which comes with an additional payment per week on call.
