An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities to join our Regeneration Team in Derby. The role involves supporting and delivering new capital equipment projects, with significant ongoing investments and multi-million-pound projects involving machining, factory design, and layout support.

You will manage a portfolio of 1 to 10 projects from inception to completion, utilizing your manufacturing engineering expertise and lean tools. Responsibilities include working with equipment manufacturers, specifying machines, commissioning, SAT and FAT testing, and collaborating on plant layouts and facility improvements, all within a highly regulated industry emphasizing safety and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities:
* Manage Capital Equipment and Facilities Projects from cradle to grave
* Derive system and equipment requirements, produce technical specifications
* Contribute to safety assessments and system justifications
* Develop, implement, validate, and improve capital equipment and tooling capabilities
* Plan and manage project activities, assess risks, schedule resources and costs, and secure approvals
* Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Identify opportunities for process and project improvements using Six Sigma or Lean/CI tools
Requirements:
* Experience in Manufacturing Equipment Acquisition, preferably in highly regulated industries
* Project Engineering experience managing plant budgets, specifications, installation, and commissioning
* Plant layout experience and facilities integration
* Professional qualification (HNC/HND/foundation degree or equivalent)
* Lean Manufacturing experience
* MS Project proficiency
