Job Description
The Assistant Management Accountant will:
3. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
4. Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
5. Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
6. Provide financial analysis to aid decision-making within the Accounting & Finance department.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal reporting standards.
8. Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyse financial data.
9. Assist in preparing VAT and other tax returns.
10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
11. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
12. Experience in preparing the month end accounts.
13. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
14. Familiarity with accounting software and Excel proficiency.
15. An understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within Accounting & Finance.
16. A passion for working in the retail industry.
17. A relevant qualification in accounting or finance (such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
