We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in St Austell, Cornwall. As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalized care and support in their homes.
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication management
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
3. Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housekeeping tasks
4. Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, or social outings
5. Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to supervisors
6. Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress
7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
8. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and organizational policies
10. Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies as they arise
Qualifications
11. Passion for supporting and caring for others
12. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships
13. Good communication skills, both verbal and written
14. Reliability, trustworthiness, and respect for client privacy
15. Physical stamina to assist with mobility and daily living activities
16. Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with clients
17. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
18. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
19. Willingness to learn and adapt to clients' individual needs
20. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
