Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Provide pacemaker & ICD follow-up to patients and physician customers.
* Support pacemaker & ICD implant procedures within the geographic area of responsibility.
* Conduct in-service training for physicians, nursing, and technical hospital staff.
* Train peers in cardiac pacing and related products.
* Support clinical and scientific studies through data collection, site support, and patient assistance.
* Ensure all paperwork related to implants, follow-ups, and data collection is accurate and complete.
* Maintain current knowledge in cardiac pacing, defibrillators, electrophysiology, and company products.
* Achieve and maintain certification in ICD implant and follow-up; demonstrate proficiency if not certified initially.
* Obtain or maintain North American Society of Pacing & Electrophysiology (IBHRE) certification within two years of hire.
* Stay informed about competitive products' features and benefits.
* Assist sales representatives within designated territories.
* Provide 24/7 on-call coverage, including weekends, with scheduled rotations.
* Support implant and follow-up procedures for sales representatives when needed.
* Travel within the sales territory, with up to 30% out-of-town travel expected.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Nursing, Physiology, Biology, or Bioengineering; graduate degree preferred.
* At least three years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab, EP lab, or pacing support role.
* Experience with pacemaker implantation and follow-up.
* Professional appearance and demeanor.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all organizational levels.
Travel/Availability Requirements:
* Provide 24/7 on-call coverage, including holidays and weekends.
* Willingness to work and travel during weekends and evenings.
* Ability to travel outside the territory as needed.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to drive approximately 80% of the time within the territory.
* Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
Physical Job Requirements:
* Frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs from floor to chair or table.
* Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
* Exposure to eye protection, infectious diseases, and radiation.
* Use of hands for handling objects and controls.
* Proficiency with mobile phones, PCs, keyboards, and mice.
* Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and balancing.
