* Involvement in statutory and non‑statutory audits, grant claim reporting and other compliance engagements, including companies, charities, pension schemes and societies
* Preparing non‑audit financial statements where required

* Maintaining and developing audit compliance procedures and audit manuals, and taking part in internal audit file reviews to drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency
* Exposure to ad‑hoc projects including management accounting, corporate finance work (acquisitions, due diligence and business valuations) and finance raising assignments

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit a high‑calibre auditor with strong client‑facing skills and a hands‑on approach.

* A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience working within audit
* Strong experience auditing owner‑managed businesses
* Confident liaising directly with clients
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Preparation of statutory accounts
* A solid understanding of corporate tax and the ability to assist with corporate tax computations
* Exposure to VAT reporting and management accounting

It is expected that the successful candidate will be qualified or at final stages, with excellent technical audit experience and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor to clients.
