GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) to support a welcoming and well-structured school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with pre-set work. Responsibilities: Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher. Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions confidently. Maintain a calm, orderly, and positive classroom environment. Manage behaviour in line with school policies and expectations. Support students with their work and encourage positive engagement. Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour. Skills & Requirements for a Cover Supervisor (CS) : Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. Strong classroom presence with good behaviour management skills. Confident, adaptable, and able to manage different classroom settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and professional attitude towards supporting student learning. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
