As a Senior Public Health Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality design solutions across a variety of project types and scales. You’ll contribute to multidisciplinary teams, support client relationships, and help drive repeat and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide detailed, coordinated and cost‑effective public health design solutions for a wide range of clients.
* Produce specifications, calculations and technical reports with clarity and accuracy.
* Design above‑and below‑ground drainage systems, rainwater and roof drainage, hot and cold‑water services, and fire suppression systems in line with standards, budgets and deadlines.
* Attend design team meetings, client meetings and undertake site inspections.
* Manage your own workload and, where required, lead smaller projects with minimal supervision.
* Respond effectively to multiple tasks and tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
About You
* Proven experience as a Public Health Engineer or in a closely related building services role, with a track record of delivering complex projects.
* Strong understanding of drainage services, including rainwater and domestic water systems.
* Proficient in relevant design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
* Familiarity with applicable British Standards.
* Experience working within a consultancy environment.
* A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently when required.
