Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This role aims to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, specifically related to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with children and/or vulnerable adults, or be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal employment offer is made. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a permanent, part-time, term-time position based at Park School, Kilmarnock. The hours are 25 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:15 am - 2:45 pm. The post is temporary until 26th June 2026.
The full-time salary range is £24,333 - £25,353 per annum; the part-time, term-time salary range is £14,907 - £15,532.
