Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Perform stocking duties, replenishing shelves and ensuring products are easily accessible.
* Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for shipping.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring items are handled safely to prevent damage.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment at all times.
* Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.
* Apply mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment as needed.
Experience
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques is advantageous.
* Experience in construction or related fields may be beneficial due to the physical nature of the role.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
