Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for a rewarding role in the heart of Edinburgh? At Code, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, well-maintained environment for our guests, and we're looking for someone like you to help us keep everything running smoothly.
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team as we grow and take on more hotels and hostels within Edinburgh.
What you'll do:
* Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance across apartments and facilities.
* Complete preventive maintenance tasks including decorating, plumbing, and electrical work.
* Respond quickly to guest requests, ensuring a high level of service and comfort.
* Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively, keeping standards consistently high.
* Support Fire, Health & Safety compliance through regular checks and accurate record-keeping.
* Use in-house systems (e.g., Logit) to schedule and document maintenance tasks.
* Train and support staff in reporting maintenance issues.
* Work across our branch offices within a 10-mile radius, when required.
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a maintenance role (hospitality experience preferred).
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Great communication skills and a guest-focused attitude.
* Knowledge of Fire, Health & Safety regulations.
* Flexibility and reliability to adapt to the needs of the hostel.
