Live Wire has worked across Formula 1 for the past 10 years, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work includes constructing viewer experiences in hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, enhancing each of the 24 races a year. We collaborate with suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all our projects.
We provide AV technology for events such as Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance, working with venues like Southbank Centre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells to supply technicians, support, and equipment.
We seek AV technicians to join our travelling team, working with clients like Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Technicians will operate cutting-edge equipment across various event types, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. The role requires working under pressure to exceed client expectations and continuously improve equipment, event quality, and team performance.
Responsibilities include managing equipment meticulously, participating in packing procedures for safe shipping, maintaining equipment throughout the season, and addressing damages or repairs promptly.
Technicians must produce detailed race reports, providing insights into build, scheduling, equipment use, and sustainability efforts, and distribute these reports promptly to relevant parties.
We encourage our junior team members to develop confidence in event setup and operation, fostering a culture of high standards. Collaboration with operations, production, project, and finance teams is essential to ensure seamless race delivery and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
* Operate high-profile shows, working with world-class drivers and musicians.
* Create production schedules and kit lists for clients and crew.
* Write debriefs post-event, highlighting action points and improvement ideas.
* Maintain equipment, report damages, and take corrective actions.
* Work independently with self-motivation and management skills.
* Build and maintain positive client relationships.
* Communicate effectively with team members on-site and in the UK.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in event production of varying demands.
* Specialist in lighting, sound, or AV, with broad understanding of all project aspects.
