A warm and welcoming family in Teddington is seeking an experienced, caring nanny to support their bright and energetic 4-year-old boy on a long-term basis. The family would love someone who can start in September but is also open to an earlier start for the right person.
They are looking for a nurturing, proactive nanny with strong experience supporting children with additional needs, including sensory processing and emotional regulation. An understanding of how to create a calm, supportive environment that helps a child manage transitions is essential.
Your key focus will be on:
* Providing consistent, attentive before- and after-school care, including a calm, supportive bedtime routine.
* Designing fun, engaging activities that encourage learning through play, tailored to the child's interests and sensory needs.
* Helping the child develop confidence with social skills, self-regulation and independence.
* Planning and guiding sensory play, outdoor exploration, and structured activities that help manage energy levels and support focus.
* Communicating openly with parents about the child's progress and any challenges.
* Supporting drop-offs and pick-ups from nursery/school and any additional activities.
* Preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the child.
Light household duties related to the child may include:
* Keeping play areas and the child's room clean and organised.
* Child's laundry and occasional batch cooking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a kind, patient nanny with a genuine passion for early years and special educational needs. The family truly values someone who will become part of their child's developmental journey, providing security, warmth, and a sense of fun every day.
