Senior SEO Specialist
Hybrid working (up to 2 days WFH)
Join one of the UK's top-performing digital agencies and help deliver SEO strategies that don't just rank – they win awards.
We work with household names across ecommerce, fashion, automotive and more, and our results regularly get recognised on the industry stage. As a team that embraces innovation, we're already exploring how AI SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) are reshaping the future of search – and we're looking for someone ready to help us lead that charge.
At MRS, you'll be part of a collaborative, award-winning agency (and yes, as a Google Premier Partner we're in the top 3% of agencies in the UK) – but more importantly, you'll join a team that values experimentation, ownership and ideas that make a real difference.
We're looking for a driven and ambitious Senior SEO Specialist / SEO Manager to join our organic search team. This is a role for someone who can not only deliver outstanding SEO results, but also take ownership of strategies, guide others, and provide consultative support on critical commercial decisions. If you want the chance to work on competitive campaigns, shape how SEO is done, and leave your mark – this is it.
What you'll be doing as the Senior SEO Specialist
You'll take a leading role in the delivery, growth and evolution of smart, effective SEO strategies across a varied portfolio. From managing complex site migrations to guiding cross-channel campaigns, you'll help our clients achieve measurable success in highly competitive environments – while keeping us ahead of the curve on AI SEO and GEO.
Some of the things you'll get stuck into:
* Leading the strategy, performance and growth of SEO campaigns across multiple clients and industries
* Taking ownership of client SEO delivery – and being accountable for results
* Providing consultative input on critical decisions such as site migrations, restructures and risk analyses
* Conducting in-depth audits, advanced troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
* Driving integration between SEO, content, CRO and wider digital strategies
* Overseeing forecasting, reporting and commercial insight for client accounts
* Directing, QA'ing and signing off the work of others to maintain high standards
* Training and mentoring junior team members, helping them progress in their careers
* Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted strategic advisor
* Keeping your finger on the pulse of emerging tactics, AI SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation
What we're looking for from the Senior SEO Specialist
You're someone who knows SEO inside-out – but you're also excited by where it's going. You thrive on problem-solving, take ownership of results, and have the curiosity to test new tactics in a changing search landscape.
We think you'll need:
* 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency-side strongly preferred)
* Proven track record of delivering measurable growth in competitive search environments
* Broad SEO experience, including international SEO, ecommerce and enterprise-level projects
* Evidence of owning SEO strategies for clients or brands end-to-end
* Strong technical skills in auditing, troubleshooting and site migrations
* Experience integrating SEO with CRO, UX and wider digital strategies
* Demonstrated ability to mentor, train and direct the work of others
* Proven success building trust and providing consultative input on high-stakes decisions
* Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4, etc.)
* Sharp commercial thinking, with experience in forecasting, reporting and ROI analysis
* Curiosity and drive to experiment with AI SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation
