2. Monday to Friday (post-holder may be required to work outside of normal office hours as required)
3. 37 hours a week
4. Location will be confirmed upon appointment (flexibility to be based across the Borough will be required)

What you'll be doing in this role:
7. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports such as management accounts and financial statements by completing relevant reconciliations, analysing financial information and creating journals. Support in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
8. Provide support in the development and monitoring of budgets, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting. Assist in budget variance analysis and forecasting activities.
9. Provide assistance in capital accounting processes, including maintaining fixed asset records, processing asset acquisitions and disposals and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
10. Assist in treasury management activities, including cash flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, and fund transfers. Provide support in managing banking activities and optimising liquidity.
11. Support the grant management process by completing accurate and timely invoicing and grant claims. Complete reconciliations Compliance and audit Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls. Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing information for audits and assisting the accountants with auditors queries. and work with grant managers to monitor grant expenditures in line with compliance requirements and reporting deadlines.

13. Assist in financial analysis tasks, including gathering and organising financial data, conducting variance analysis, and preparing information to support decision-making processes.
What you'll need for this role:
14. Successfully completed the final examinations of AAT or IATI; or
Passed the foundation- level exams of a recognised professional accountancy body (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent)
15. Candidates must be registered with a professional accountancy body as a student or affiliate members.
16. Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, two years' experience working in a finance function/team or an audit practice.
17. Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, two years' experience of applying knowledge of basic accounting principles, regulations and standards.
