Shop Floor Assistant
Location: Falmouth
Hours: Fridays, 10:00am – 4:00pm (with potential additional hours)
Start Date: 1st May – Early June
Contract: Temporary, Part-Time
Pay Rate: £13 per hour paid every Friday via PAYE
We are seeking a friendly, confident, and approachable Front of House / Gallery Assistant to join a welcoming team on a temporary basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public and thrives in a customer-focused environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a positive and engaging experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Welcoming and assisting visitors in a professional and friendly manner
2. Supporting reception duties and general front-of-house operations
3. Providing assistance on the shop floor and with basic retail tasks
4. Handling simple till and transaction processes (training provided if needed)
5. Maintaining a tidy and presentable customer area
6. Acting as a helpful and approachable presence for all visitors
About You
7. Confident, friendly, and comfortable engaging with the public
8. Approachable with strong communication skills
9. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
10. Able to work independently and as part of a small team
11. Previous customer service experience is essential
