The Role:
Within this role you will assist with general upkeep and housekeeping along with assisting depot operations.
What You’ll Do:
4. Carry out work as allocated by the Depot Manager, Service Delivery Leader, Production Manager & Team Leader within set timescales.
5. Carry out cleaning or simple maintenance tasks on rail vehicles at the discretion of the Depot Manager, Service Delivery Leader, Production Manager & Team Leader.
6. Ensure that the appropriate quality and environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to.
7. Take part in technical, quality, safety and general briefings and safety tours, and ensure that the necessary action is taken on items raised.
8. Always maintain good housekeeping and standard of cleanliness throughout depot.
9. Ensure all documentation / paperwork issued relating to the work being carried out is correctly and fully completed.
10. Play an active role in your appraisal, training and development.
11. Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
12. Using SAP as appropriate
13. Responsible for ensuring non-conformance process is correctly adhered to.
14. Collect material not required from point of use areas and return to correct location within the depot
15. Using software applications ie Maximo and other software applications when / if required
16. Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness in general areas is kept
17. Forklift driving duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
18. Valid driving licence
19. Valid forklift licence is desirable
20. Good working knowledge of the railway
21. Although not essential previous experience working on SAP would be advantageous.
