Following the introduction of General Practitioners as an ARRS role as part of the national Primary Care Network DES, we are looking to expand our team by recruiting newly qualified General Practitioners to work alongside our Practices and Primary Care Network additional roles.
We are recruiting on behalf of a Warwickshire North PCN. We are looking for enthusiastic and forward-thinking GPs to join our teams on a fixed term contract for 6 months. Hours of work and rates of pay will be confirmed upon successful recruitment to the role.
You will be required to work at Atherstone Surgery. We always work as a clinical team and provide mutual clinical support amongst colleagues through individual discussions and organised meetings which include shared learning and Significant Event discussions. This is a great opportunity to get to know our practice, providing the successful candidate with varied experience.
Eligibility criteria - CCT date must be within the last 2 years and post holder has not held a substantive post before.

Job responsibilities
ClinicalResponsibilities
* To provide a comprehensiverange of clinical duties at the agreed Surgeries within our Primary CareNetwork, which may also include working within our Enhanced Access Service.
* Toundertake surgery consultations, home visits where necessary, and telephonequeries from patients and health care professionals.
* Makingprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within theorganisation
* Toundertake on-call duties as part of the Surgery on-call rota, where agreed.This may include requesting that patients present at the surgery, telephoneconsultations, home visits and triage.
* Admittingor discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other careproviders as appropriate
* Workwith patients in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribedtreatments. Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-countermedication on medication regimens, side-effects, and interactions
* Prioritisehealth problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex,urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergencycare
* Supportpatients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestylesand apply principles of selfcare. Support and manage health needs of patientspresenting for family planning or sexual health consultations
* Assess,identify, and refer patients presenting with mental health needs in accordancewith national and local guidelines.
* Assessingthe health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosedproblems
* Screeningpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
* Inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease managementprotocols, developing care plans for health

* Toundertake any other duties commensurate with the post holders grade as agreedwith the Lead GP.

Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise and entry on the GP Register (Certificate of completion date must be within 2 years and not having held a substantive post before).
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice / Certificate Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalent.
* Included on a Medical Performers List or eligible.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development

* Experience of NHS general practice
