Working on some of the most exciting and ambitious projects in the country, as a highly skilled senior expert, you will be a technical lead for Building Control working on these high profile projects across the Borough. Your responsibilities will include – Co ordination of investigations into dangerous structures and take appropriate actions in order to ensure safety of the public. Deliver excellent customer service to all of our clients. Working with clients to providing workable solutions and making pragmatic decisions. Undertaking examination for compliance of a full range of Building Regulation applications. Carry out site inspections and maintain accurate up to date records. Undertake investigation of breaches of Building Regulations and its associated legislation and in line with Council policy, collate evidence, prepare reports, and attend court if required. You’ll bring to the team – Demonstrable experience of managing complex Building Regulation applications under the Building Act 1984. In depth, technical knowledge and expertise of Building Regulations and the legislation associated. Proven ability to problem solve, provide innovative, forward thinking solutions. Excellent Communication skills, with experience of developing and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and customers. Previous experience of mentoring and supporting junior staff, providing technical advice and career guidance. Experience of Plan checking for Building regulation purposes.
