Project Manager
A regional main contractor delivering building and energy projects across the UK is seeking a freelance Project Manager to manage a standalone energy centre project. The role is fully site-based and focuses on project delivery and client liaison rather than MEP design.
The project involves a small warehouse-type building housing industrial-grade ground source heat pumps. A specialist MEP subcontractor is on site, so the focus is on construction management and coordination of site activities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day project delivery and ensure works are on programme, within budget, and to quality standards
* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and labour on site
* Act as the primary point of contact for the client and consultant teams
* Monitor progress and escalate issues, risks, or required programme changes
* Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
* Maintain project records, reports, and handover documentation
Day Rate
* £400£450 per day
* Fully expensed travel and subsistence where required
* Flexible start date, immediate availability preferred
