Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised individual to support students with their mental health and wellbeing from application to graduation at University Campus Oldham (Higher Education at Oldham College).


The Role

The Student Life Officer will work closely with internal support teams across both FE and HE and build strong working relationships with external agencies and key stakeholders to improve the overall offer for wellbeing services. The successful candidate will be an energetic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering an excellent student experience.


Responsibilities

* Support students with their mental health and wellbeing from application to graduation.
* Collaborate with internal support teams across FE and HE.
* Build relationships with external agencies and key stakeholders to improve wellbeing services.


Qualifications and Experience

* Excellent understanding of the mental health issues faced by students in higher education.
* Aware of current focus areas within the sector.
* Experience in education or health and social care settings where a caseload of clients has been managed and worked with adults on a 1:1 basis to improve outcomes through a person-centred, cross-collaborative approach.
* Committed to supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing to ensure academic success.


Salary and Employment Details

* Professional Services: Student Life Officer (0.8 post)
* Salary: £28,050.84- £30,555.00 FTE per annum
* Actual: £22,440.67 - £24,444.00
