Machine Operator Trainee
4-on, 4-off rotating shift
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to operate Conversion machines in a factory to produce quality products in the most efficient and safe manner.
Main Responsibilities
Machine Operation and Quality Control:
1. Operate the machine according to the appropriate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and your level of competency/training.
2. Produce accurate work with a strong attention to detail.
3. Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the shift.
4. Take samples and correctly fill out all Quality Control (QC) paperwork.
Production and Material Handling:
5. Label, wrap, and strap pallets, ensuring the labeling is clear and matches the specified sheet.
6. Minimize scrap and make every effort to avoid unnecessary waste.
7. Transfer scrap to the designated bailer and empty it when needed.
8. Move finished products and place them in the designated space.
9. Correctly and accurately fill out all production sheets.
10. Achieve the daily production targets set by management.
Workplace Standards and Safety:
11. Report any maintenance issues promptly.
12. Participate in and ensure a smooth handover between shifts.
13. Ensure the Conversion area is tidy and maintained professionally, following the highest BRCGS standards.
14. Follow and comply with all company, Health & Safety, HR, and factory policies and procedures.
General Duties:
15. Attend any training provided, whether individual or collective.
16. Carry out any other reasonable requests.
