Role Overview
We seek experienced Emergency Nurses and Paediatric Nurses with post-registration experience as Band 5 or above in Emergency Care for this Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse position. The successful candidate will support senior nursing staff, lead clinical teams, and contribute to service improvement projects. Leadership, change management, and excellent communication skills are essential. Welsh language skills are desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
* Support the Emergency Department senior team, including deputising for the Band 7 Sister/Charge Nurse in their absence
* Manage staffing, attend meetings, handle complaints, and oversee performance reviews and sickness management
* Lead service improvement projects and demonstrate a commitment to quality care
* Work closely with clinical colleagues to ensure patient safety and comfort
Qualifications & Experience
* UK NMC registration
* TNCC or Level 1 Trauma Training or equivalent
* Manchester Triage Trained
* Significant ED Band 5 or above experience
* Leadership and supervisory skills
