This role is ideal for individuals keen to gain hands-on experience in HR and payroll while working in a supportive and friendly environment. Thompsons values knowledge sharing, is committed to investing in training, and focuses on developing its apprentices with a forward-looking approach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to ensure the smooth running of the HR department.
2. Assist with HR procedures and collate HR documents.
3. Process payroll accurately and timely.
4. Answer telephone calls and handle HR queries from staff.
5. Utilise Excel for various HR-related tasks.
6. Log information on internal systems.
7. Assist with apprentice appraisals.
8. Perform general administrative duties.
Skills & Knowledge
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
* Maintains a professional attitude.
* High attention to detail.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Candidates with GCSE (or equivalent) grades C/4 or above in Maths and English are preferred.
