We are recruiting a SEND Outreach Worker to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across primary and secondary settings in Halifax. This is a dynamic, hybrid position combining in-school support, outreach work, and multi-agency collaboration.
The Role
You will:
* Work directly with SEND pupils in both primary and secondary schools
* Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support strategies
* Build strong relationships with families and school staff
* Attend review meetings and multi-agency meetings
* Deliver training and guidance where required
* Travel between education settings across the area
* Work flexibly to attend meetings or undertake specific duties, which may occasionally fall outside of standard school hours
Essential Criteria
* Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (or higher)
* Recent experience working in a primary or secondary school setting
* Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practices
* Full UK driving licence
* Access to your own vehicle
* Willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
