The role
We are working in partnership with a well-established 11–18 secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a History Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for a subject specialist who can bring History to life and engage pupils through well-structured, thought-provoking lessons.
The Humanities department is collaborative and supportive, with clear schemes of work and a strong focus on consistency and high expectations.

Responsibilities
* Teach History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking
* Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities
* Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement
* Work collaboratively with department colleagues and support staff
The ideal candidate
* QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience
* Strong subject knowledge in History
* Confident and consistent behaviour management
* Flexible and reliable approach to supply or long-term work
* Open to short-term, long-term, or permanent opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
