Client: Our client is a nationally renowned M&E Contractor who turnover in excess of £250M. With numerous offices throughout the country their client base ranges from end users to large main contractors, including: Kier, Morgan Sindall, Wates and Carillion. They specialise in technically challenging projects within the Datacentre, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Residential and R&D sectors. Following the appointment on a major project in London, they are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Project Manager for their operations team. Role: Senior Electrical Project Manager – London – £400-£500 per day CIS The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £25M M&E package within their own discipline, reporting into a Project Director. The project is new build commercial block. Key to this role is managing the project; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget. Role/Responsibilities: Tender review/validation Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant Technical submittals RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors Value Engineering where applicable Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project Health & Safety management (RAMs) Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey. Management of variations Team Coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers and supervisors) Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings Overseeing commissioning stages Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover The ideal candidate: Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment Experience working in the commercial sector Experience managing projects to a minimum of £20M within your own discipline A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Wates, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace.
