Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Holiday: 4 weeks per annum plus bank holidays

Job Description:
As a Ledger Clerk with varied administrative responsibilities, you will be integral to our financial and office operations. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing ledgers including Purchase, Nominal, and Sales.
* Conducting period-end duties including printing reports, reconciling accounts.
* Handling electronic banking and preparing remittances for monthly payment runs.
* Reconciling bank statements.
* Managing Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processing.
* Processing expenses and overtime on Excel (note: this does not include payroll).
* Inputting Engineers' timesheets into the accounts package.
* Typing letters and updating Excel spreadsheets with existing formulas.
* Answering phone calls and managing client requests, especially when directors or office administrators are unavailable.
What We Are Looking For:
* A versatile team player who can adapt and assist in various tasks within our small, friendly office.
* Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Experience with accounts packages preferred (training on OPERA 3 will be provided).
* Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
