Role overview: The solution architect will lead the design and development of products for national security propositions, supporting international government missions in areas such as cyber security, communications monitoring, anti-terrorism, and serious crime.
Key responsibilities:
1. Technical design of multi-component data processing systems, including requirements analysis, system solution development, and risk estimation.
2. Document designs and estimates, conduct peer reviews, and ensure alignment with best practices.
3. Prepare content for customer proposals and contracts, covering scope, delivery approach, and risk.
4. Innovate in design aspects while aligning with existing solution patterns.
Essential experience and skills:
1. Strong technical background in software, hardware, or digital systems, with ability to work at both high-level and detailed levels.
2. Experience with data processing system design or implementation, including AI/ML and Big Data.
3. Hands-on skills with systems installation, configuration, scripting, and debugging.
4. Data analysis skills, including working with multiple data sets and search/filter techniques.
5. Knowledge of IP networks, data protocols, and cyber attack vectors.
6. Willingness to travel internationally several times a year.
