Position Overview
FY3 Doctor at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT). The role is not part of a training post but is designed to support your development in a teaching hospital environment.

Main Duties of the Job
You will benefit from guidance of a Clinical Supervisor and Educational Supervisor and may agree a rotation tailored to your learning needs. Facilitated by an experienced Psychiatrist, an active FY3 peer group meets monthly.
Responsibilities include:
* Carry out psychiatric assessments in a variety of settings, working flexibly with other members of the team.
* Maintain medical and psychiatric management of service users referred and accepted by the team.
* Be responsible for the day‑to‑day psychiatric and medical care of patients under the care of the consultant.
* Liaise with other agencies and participate in Care Programme Approach meetings for individual clients, participating in care management reviews for clients and carers.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records and notes.
* Participate in local audit and educational and training activities.
* Undertake other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time, that are consistent with the grade and responsibility of the post.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
* Eligible for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
* Evidence of year 1 Foundation competences from a UKFPO affiliated Foundation Programme or equivalent by time of appointment in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice.
Experience
Essential:
* Previous NHS experience.
