Member Services Rep - Full Time - Afternoon/Evening
Overview
We are searching for a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team. BILINGUAL English/Spanish are encouraged to apply. As a member of our staff, you will provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience.
Responsibilities
* Greet members and guests, delivering exceptional customer service and making everyone feel welcome.
* Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
* Check members in, tour and sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
* Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
* Process beverage or merchandise purchases on the point-of-sale system.
* Use the POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address, and billing or payment questions.
Club Cleanliness and Maintenance
* Keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly.
* Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep (e.g., spills, trash removal, windows/mirrors, re-racking weights).
* Clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds; maintain restrooms and wet areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Exceptional customer service skills; ability to interact positively with members and co-workers.
* Prior customer service experience preferred.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude; punctuality and reliability.
* Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required timeframes and maintain ability to perform CPR in an emergency.
* Overnight position background check: 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire; employment contingent on satisfactory results.
Physical Demands
* Walk and stand for prolonged periods; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive hand motions.
* Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
* Talk continuously in person or on the phone; maintain ability to administer CPR if needed.
* Normal vision and hearing; ability to see and hear with or without correction.
