Marketing Director at Reydon Sports & SAC Electronics
Are you ready to come on board and help us grow the business? Reydon Sports PLC is experiencing rapid growth, and we're seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our fast-paced and collaborative purchasing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to bring fresh ideas, energy, and a passion for success to a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Take ownership of daily purchasing activities and drive process efficiency within the buying team.
· Develop and manage relationships with UK and international suppliers.
· Source and develop new and existing product ranges from global suppliers.
· Set wholesale and retail pricing based on landed cost while maintaining target profit margins.
· Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
· Monitor stock levels and manage inventory for assigned suppliers.
· Raise purchase orders based on sales trends and historical data.
· Manage the purchase order book, including pricing accuracy and delivery scheduling.
· Match and process invoices (GRNI).
· Write and update product descriptions and key details for the website.
· Maintain accurate product and supplier data in company systems.
· Manage the complete product lifecycle—from concept and development through launch to end-of-life.
· Present product ranges to Directors, Buyers, and Sales teams for approval.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams.
· Monitor KPIs as set by the Head of Department.
· Stay informed on market trends, customer demographics, and competitor activity.
· Attend supplier meetings and UK/international trade shows.
Candidate Requirements:
· Strong interest in the Sports & Leisure industry.
· Minimum 2 years’ buying or procurement experience.
· Degree or higher education qualification preferred.
· Commercially and financially astute with strong margin awareness.
· Proficient in international trade processes.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in Office suite.
· Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is a plus (not essential).
· Excellent organisational and time management skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Analytical thinker with experience working with large datasets.
· Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
