Responsibilities
You will be an experienced cook with a recognised qualification, holding an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, along with a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. You will have a sound understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and be confident in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen practice. Beyond technical skills, you will contribute to menu planning, present nutritious and appetising dishes, and create a positive mealtime experience for Residents. You will be a team player with a positive attitude and a caring approach aligned with HC-One values. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; you should recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed.
Qualifications
* Experience as a cook with a recognised qualification
* S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
* Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety
* Creative menu planning and presentation
* Caring, positive attitude and teamwork
* Commitment to safeguarding and appropriate escalation procedures
