Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics.
If successful you will be responsible for the maintenance of the site, grounds and facilities, installation and removal of basic support services and inspection, installation and remedial works on site, such as plumbing, woodwork and displays. You must have experience working within an industrial environment as well as safe use of basic hand and power tools.
Please note: Maintenance Operative is the external job title used for advertising, should you be successful your internal and official job title will be Facilities Technical Labourer
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Willingness to receive training and/or upskilling on all relevant areas including carpentry, decorating, plumbing, bench fitting, electrical and building works.
* General knowledge of building materials and best practices would be advantageous.
And be able to deliver and ensure:
* Maintenance of site grounds and facilities
* PAT Testing
* Installation and removal of basic support services
* Maintenance of site corridors and wall furniture
* Inspection, installation and remedial works on basic site plumbing, woodwork and displays
* Regular basic inspection of site vehicles
* Maintain records for the MMS (Maintenance Management System)
* Carry out duties with due regard to safety, current legislation, environment, company and statutory requirements
* Assist in the procurement of spare parts and maintain essential stock levels
* Assist in the specification of items of equipment
