McBride Sport are delighted to be leading the search for a Senior Events Operations Manager working with a major mass participation events organisation in Scotland. This exciting and newly developed role will play a key part in the delivery of high profile running and cycling events as well as looking to introduce new events to the portfolio. As Senior Events Operations Manager you will work cross functionally to deliver operational planning to ensure all events meet their objectives. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of our mass participation events. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event operations, ensuring every event runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standard of safety and satisfaction for participants, spectators, and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale events, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
* Develop and implement robust operational strategies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
* Manage event logistics, including site management, equipment hire, supplier relations, and on-the-day delivery.
* Oversee risk assessments and health & safety measures to guarantee a safe environment for all attendees.
* Monitor budgets and control costs without compromising on quality or participant experience.
* Drive continuous improvement by analysing post-event feedback and operational performance.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in operations management within the events sector, particularly mass participation events. You'll possess organisational and management skills, with the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
