The AgencyHays is one of the market-leading agencies in the Education sector in Cheltenham and is currently actively recruiting for a Science/Lab Technician to support science teachers during classes at a secondary school in Cheltenham. What you will be doing/ your responsibilities:
1. Supporting science teachers and students during classes by providing equipment and resources for demonstration, class practical work, assessments and examinations
2. Keeping and setting-up equipment in a clean and serviceable condition (including disposing waste, working with chemicals, insects, animals and paperwork)
3. Assessing for risk and advising relevant staff
4. Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced and that everything is clearly and correctly labelled
5. Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks

9. Ability to assess, identify and report relevant risk
