Clinical Support Worker Ophthalmology ODU
We are looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Support Worker (CSW) in Ophthalmology or Theatres, to work in our busy Ophthalmic Day Unit. You will undertake a variety of tasks, including the admission and discharge of the patients, circulating in theatre; all the time working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. The unit undertakes a holistic approach to the surgical patient pathway to ensure they receive the highest quality care during their pathway. You will be given the opportunity to work in all areas of the patient’s journey.
A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths NVQ2 in health and social care or the equivalent experience is essential.
The team is friendly and supportive with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care. This is a role where you will be offered support to develop your skills.
As a vital member of the Ophthalmic team, you will support the delivery of patient care in the perioperative pathway. You will undertake a broad range of care and activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner. Full training will be given.
