Location: Henderson House Care Home, Dalgety Bay, Fife. Contract: Bank. Salary: £12.48 per hour. Shift type: Days. Contracted hours: 0. Based in the popular Fife coastal town of Dalgety Bay, Henderson House Care Home provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 60 residents. What You Will Do
* Prepare, cook, and serve well-balanced meals that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents.
* Contribute to menu planning alongside the Head Chef, using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create varied and appealing dishes.
* Take ownership of the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared safely and hygienically, and that kitchen cleanliness is maintained to high standards.
* Manage stock control, record food temperatures, and ensure proper storage and rotation of supplies.
* Help create a positive dining experience that brings comfort, enjoyment, and nourishment to those in our care.
What We Are Looking For
* City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent (or working towards)
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
* A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high standards
* Previous experience in a care environment is desirable but not essential
