Here at Prestige Staffing & Training Group Ltd, we are looking for a number of support workers to work on a 2-1 basis supporting a male and a female service user.
A dedicated and conscientious Support Worker with or without experience in the healthcare sector. A Support Worker provides essential assistance for the elderly and those unable to carry out everyday tasks independently. As a Support Worker, encouragement is the number one priority when dealing with a variety of clients with a vast range of needs. A compassionate and patient approach encourages trust and ensures that client dignity is maintained at all times.
Support Workers must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for providing our seniors with high-quality care and support.
Responsibilities
1. Observe, monitor, and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
2. Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities.
3. Maintain patient confidentiality and respect the rights of patients.
4. Help clients plan their meals and drinks.
5. Provide gentle encouragement and assistance to eat and drink well.
6. Encourage, remind, assist, and administer medicines as needed.
7. Act as Support Worker to clients, ensuring their needs are met. Participate in the formulation and implementation of individual Support plans.
8. Participate in assessments and reviews, and contribute to good written and verbal communication while respecting client confidentiality.
9. Observe clients’ wishes regarding daily living patterns. Organize and participate in activities and outings involving the client in planning where possible.
In return, we offer 12-hour day/night shifts paying up to £12.50 per hour. Sleep-ins and waking nights are also available.
