Sutton Recruitment are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder and door fitter. The ideal candidate will possess a background in MIG welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to assemble components using both hand and power tools whilst working in the work shop.
Responsibilities:
•Fitting of fire exit/panic hardware onto steel doors
•Fitting door furniture to steel doors
•Fitting glass into steel doors.
•Mig welding of thin sheet steel, between 1mm – 2.5mm.
•Use of circular saws and plunge saws to cut apertures in steel doors.
•Use of various other hand tools.
•The job requires an element of manual handling.
Hourly rate:
£14.00p/h PAYE
Overtime rate (after 39 hours)
£21.00p/h PAYE
Hours:
08.00 - 16.30 - Monday to Thursday
08.00 - 15.30 - Friday
Skills Required
- Proficient in welding techniques, particularly MIG welding.
- Fabrication knowledge
- Experience working with sheet metal and other fabrication materials.
- Confident in using hand tools and power tools used in the fabrication process.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
