We're working with a major UK construction and infrastructure organisation that's looking for a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to support head office and project teams in delivering the highest standards of HSE performance.
This is a hands-on, visible role where you'll collaborate closely with leadership, project teams, subcontractors, and partners to drive continual improvement across complex construction environments.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of HSE, you'll work across departments and live projects to:
Provide practical HSE guidance, challenge, and assurance to project teams
Support the development and continuous improvement of the Safety, Health & Environmental Management System
Keep systems aligned with legislation, best practice, and client requirements
Promote a strong behavioural safety culture through engagement and visibility
Help ensure people go home safe — every day
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out site inspections, audits, and reviews, recommending improvements where needed
Supporting and contributing to incident, near miss, and close-call investigations
Assisting with HSE training, awareness, and wellbeing campaigns
Managing and analysing HSE data and trends to drive targeted action
Supporting tenders, pre-qualifications, and work-winning activities with HSE input
Working closely with project teams, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and JV partners
Playing a key role in delivering the organisation's Health & Safety strategy
