Candidate skills & requirements Your Role As an External Scheduler - Assemblies UAP, you will: - Establish a realistic short-term supply plan to satisfy the MPS, direct customer orders, and stock policy targets. - Define supply parameters in the ERP item file that align with stock targets and industrial strategy. - Participate in the MRP validation process to analyze and act upon exception messages (increase/decrease, expedite, delay, or cancel an order). - Issue and manage supplier schedule agreements or purchase orders in line with ERP recommendations. - Confirm and communicate changes from the MRP to suppliers, ensuring necessary modifications are made. - Obtain supplier acknowledgement for all requirement changes. - Negotiate deadlines and quantities with suppliers within contract limits (not pricing). - Provide critical data and solutions to the internal Manufacturing Area to resolve imbalances. - Measure and analyze supplier performance, producing weekly/monthly reports and implementing action/recovery plans as necessary. - Oversee supplier site progress, including delivery receipts, disputes, and supplier returns. - Manage regular supplier visits for performance review meetings or issue resolution. - Monitor external supplier capacity and escalate issues to the Supplier Performance Manager. - Lead action plans to mitigate uncertainties and reduce production cycles with suppliers. - Evaluate requests for technical modifications and implement action plans upon validation. - Manage free issue stock and raw materials with suppliers. Travel to suppliers within the UK and Europe is a requirement of this position.
