Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a well-established organisation to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing finance team in a role that offers strong exposure to management accounts and wider financial processes, alongside excellent flexibility.
The role:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key part in supporting the production of accurate financial information and ensuring smooth month-end processes.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
* Analysing key cost movements and identifying variances
* Completing month-end tasks including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and bad debt provisions
* Performing daily bank reconciliations and regular balance sheet reconciliations
* Investigating and resolving discrepancies
* Supporting Purchase Ledger with supplier payments, expenses, and credit cards
* Assisting with aged creditors management
* Supporting VAT returns, budgeting processes, and audit requirements
* Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations
About you
* Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (fully qualified candidates also considered)
* Previous exposure to management accounts
* Strong Excel skills; experience with finance systems or CRM tools is advantageous
* Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams
* Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
